Grandiose is an art gallery located at a serene location in India that showcases different styles of art made by extremely talented local artists. We worked with Grandiose to create a digital platform for them through a website that connects art admirers and enthusiasts to the artists themselves. In the post-pandemic world there was an urgent need to run businesses digitally, this is where we stepped in.
Collaborated with the web development team and content development team while leading a team of two designers.
Spearheaded the creative direction and conceptualization, driving the project from inception to completion by contributing in branding, UI design and research, alongside meticulous usability testing to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.

Creating an engaging website for users to come and experience art through a website was quite a challenging task. The site required optimizing content for the website using SEO, and ways to increase traffic and eliminate bounce rates. One of the of the other challenges that had to be considered was maintaining the page loading time and increasing the visibility. The Grandiose website had to represent the art gallery’s luxurious feel as soon as the audience steps into the website.

It was clear to us that optimizing the website's SEO, improving the user experience, and ensuring a responsive design are critical steps in connecting art admirers with local artists in the digital realm, especially in the post-pandemic world. A significant reduction in bounce rates could drastically enhance user engagement and potentially increase sales.
A case study exemplified a bounce rate reduction from 35% to 7% within a short span, leading to a 400% increment in visitors initiating the shopping process on an art website. This underscores the long-term benefits of reducing bounce rates on user engagement and sales. An appealing and user-friendly web design is instrumental in reducing bounce rates and retaining visitors on the site. The design plays a vital role in the user's journey, directly impacting their experience and, consequently, the website's success.
Additionally, we also had to take responsive design into consideration, as the target users would mostly prefer browsing or purchasing the artwork from their mobile phones. Offering a seamless experience for both art enthusiasts and artists was essential.

The website provided a broader audience and greater exposure for the talented local artists showcased at Grandiose. The homepage is designed to engage the audience and enhance their online buying experience. The platform featured educational content, artist profiles, and insights into different art styles, contributing to increased art appreciation and awareness among the general public.
